Is the Htc touch a good phone. Is it slow?

I've had the HTC Touch for a couple of months now, and it's really great! It's small and slim enough to fit into your pocket, has all the advantages of WM6, and looks cool. Besides for making phone calls, I use it primarily to check e-mail and browse the web. The only drawback i can think of is the lack of a real keyboard, instead of a touchscreen one. If you write lots of e-mails from your phone, you may be better off getting a phone with a full qwerty keyboard. Otherwise, the touchscreen keyboard works OK. You can even choose between different types.
As far as speed goes, I think the phone is pretty good. It's probably not the fastest, but if you're talking download times, your carrier data transfer speed will probably be the bottleneck, not necessarily the phone.
How to adjust ear piece volume on HTC Touch Pro?
The volume on the HTC Touch Pro coming from the speakers, is low, thus during phone calls, it can be hard to hear the other person. I've dug around in the settings and everything and can't find a thing to adjust it.
Any tips?
Check out the link below. There's a program you can run to improve the volume. Just follow the instructions. I had the same issue with my Touch Diamond, and after installing it's working much better. I installed the lighter boost file, too.
You may need to register with the website to download the file (it's free though). It's a good site though! There's a lot of coll stuff you can do with this phone!

Does the Htc touch require you to get a data pack?
Well I was going to buy the Samsung Instinct but you need to get an everything plan so I'm not gonna get it any more. And I want to know if the Htc touch requires you to get a data pack or you don't have to add any additional monthly charges? Or is it just like activating any other phone? Thanks!
That is not true. You do not have to get the everything plan. It is just a rumor that is going around. Also you do not have to get a data pack for the htc tough at long as you do not acess the net.
What is the latest version of the HTC Touch Diamond?
I have a HTC Touch Diamond European Version (The one with the front camera). I am using it here in the United States. When I try looking for a ROM update in the HTC US website I can find the update file, but it doesn't tell me what version the update file is, so I don't know if it's already the version I have.
My current ROM version is:
1.93.456.2 WWE

Edit: The latest ROM in English is 1.93.831.1 but I wouldn't worry about it. There isn't much differenct between it and what you have. It's totally up to you but, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.
