Conquer your Kindle

Information professionals Tony Redman and Ann Mount are offering a class that will help new Amazon Kindle owners learn how to browse, check out and download e-books from the Abilene Public Library's free Overdrive service. The class is being offered at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and it will be repeated at 2:30 p.m. March 24 at the downtown location, 202 Cedar St.

Each session will cover Kindle basics as well as more detailed use. Class participants with specific or additional questions may bring their devices with them. After the demonstration, there will be a half-hour Q&A/troubleshooting session.

To use the Kindle e-books, you will need your library card, Amazon account login information, and Kindle USB (for first or second generation Kindles). Remember all Kindles, from the very first generation to the newest Fire, can use the Abilene Public Library's new Kindle e-books.
