I saw folks refurbishing old iron stoves by sandblasting the rust off, painting them and then putting them back into use. I'd like to get the rust off a few antique irons and other items but wonder if they had value, if that would reduce any sale value.

A: Generally speaking, unless done very aggressively, media blasting something that is rough cast iron will not damage it.

9100 block Ridge Ave. – 1999 Honda stolen.

200 block Green Lane – two antique cast iron sinks and an antique cast iron tub were stolen from the property.

6900 block Shalkop St. – mobile GPS, Nikon camera, Garmin GPS and $80 stolen from three cars at the location.
