How do I add a mini fridge to a cabinet space?
I'm installing a wet bar in a former pantry space. There is just enough width for a cabinet with about two cabinet doors. The bar will have a countertop, wet bar sink, and mirrors and shelves for holding glasses.
My question is how do I put in the mini fridge? It is small enought to fit in the cabinet and will take up about half of the front face of the cabinets. Do I glue the cabinet door to the front of the fridge and position the fridge in the proper place? If so, how does the door open correctly and not bump against the cabinet frame?
I think just leaving the fridge there without a cabinet door would look funny since the stainless steel would take up half of the bar face.
Actually the first thing I thought of was how are you going to ventilate the space. If heat builds up in the cabinet, it might prematurely cause the unit to fail. The grid in the back is trying to dissipate heat to recharge the freon; if it can't it will cycle the hot freon back to the unit, and that will reduce its ability to cool. As far as aesthetics, I'd allow the steel to show. Complement it with other stainless objects like a cork puller or brushed nickel hardware and you'll be stylin'.
How do you defrost a mini fridge without the water going everywhere?
I need to defrost my mini fridge in my dorm over break. I don't have any large buckets or anything to catch water. Mini fridges don't have a tray or tube to drain the water. How can I defrost the mini fridge? Thanks!

How do I clean a disgusting mini fridge?
My roommate and I were moving to a different apartment. We defrosted our mini fridge, but when we moved it, I forgot to take out the tray underneath the freezer part. It had all the melted ice and gross suff, and it spilled all over. We were in a rush, so we didn't clean the inside of the fridge at the time. A few days later when we opened the fridge, it smells like something died in there.
I've been trying to clean it for weeks, and the smell keeps coming back. I've tried to clean it with baking soda and water, scrubbed the inside with soap, and sprayed Lysol Antibacterial Food Contact Surface Cleaner (what a mouthful) to disinfect it. I've even unscrewed the door and cleaned off the gross stuff growing in the rubber lining, and it still smells awful. I am reluctant to throw away the fridge, and I want to know if there's anything else I could do to save it.
Get a huge 100gallon drum of Bleach and hang the fridge by its electric cord and dangle it in the bleach over night. that should do it.
Will putting a mini fridge in my bedroom cause a power outage?
So far my major power drainers in my room right now are my computer, my 60 inch big screen, and ps3. I tried microwaving some food in my room and it caused a power outage. If i put in a mini fridge will this cause a black out? It's one of the smaller mini fridges too.
depends what else is drawing power it sounds like the main thing drawing power in your room is the tv as im guessing its a plasma. If it is only your tv and fridge working then this shouldn't be a problem as the fridge will draw far less than a computer and ps3.
